Nimmu

Introduction

Breathtakingly beautiful, Nimmu is a village located in the Southeastern part of the Ladakh region. The town is famous for offering awe-inspiring views of the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers. Owing to the high-altitude and topography of the region, there is nothing much to look around. But, the town lures all the adventure junkies for hosting the All India river-rafting expedition. The enthralling activity takes place on the river Indus flowing across the beautiful hamlet. Furthermore, rafting groups also make way to the Zanskar River to pacify their adrenalin rush.

Attractions around Nimmu

A heritage hotel in the village by the name of Nimmu house is a must-visit for the extra pampered souls. Additionally, despite the untouched cold barrens, one can amazingly expect some sightseeing at the Basgo, Likir and Alchi monasteries. For basking in the bliss, one can also visit the Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, which is en route while driving from Leh to Nimmu.
