Then, you will head towards Jispa, driving across Rohtang Pass, which offers beautiful views of the snow-clad peaks. Further, passing through Keylong, you will enter the Lahaul Valley. Here, take a break and enjoy the lunch amidst the panoramic valley. Then head towards Jispa, and upon your arrival, you will have an assisted check-in at the pre-booked accommodation. You can explore the nearby areas on your own and enjoy the majestic beauty of the valley.

After an early breakfast, check out of your staycation at Jispa and proceed towards Leh. You will cross the Baralacha La, Nakeela, and Lachung La Pass. The Greater Himalayan landscape will accompany you during your ride. Take a break for lunch at Pang and then drive towards Leh, passing through Skyangchu Thang (a vast plateau stretching for 42 km) and then crossing Taglang-La and driving through the upper Indus Valley. Enjoy the splendid views and drive through the Tanglang La Pass, the second-highest motorable mountain pass in the world, situated at an elevation of 5,300 m above sea level. You will reach Leh by evening. When reached, complete the check-in formalities at the hotel and relax. Later, have dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

Today, the morning is at leisure for rest after the long journey. Have your breakfast and laze around in your room. Later in the afternoon, you’ll get ready to go on a sightseeing tour in Leh. You’ll visit the Leh Palace, a nine-story palace offering panoramic views of Leh and the surrounding areas. This Palace reflects the architectural style of the Patola Palace in Lhasa, Tibet.

Then, you’ll head towards Shanti Stupa, a white-domed stupa built by Japanese Buddhists to promote world peace. It provides the best view of the city during sunrise and sunset. After exploring these two, you’ll move towards Leh Market. This bustling market area is perfect for shopping for traditional Ladakhi handicrafts, jewelry, pashmina shawls, and Tibetan artifacts. After a day of exploration, retreat to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Rise early, have your morning meal, and check out from the hotel. Then, you’ll depart towards Pangong Lake, located on the Indo-China Border, via Chang-La Pass. Once you reach Pangong Lake, check in at the fixed-tented camp near the lake at Spangmik. After resting, explore the areas near the lake and witness this mesmerizing, color-changing lake. Further, retreat to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay. You can even drive back for 30 km to Tangtse and check into the Hotel/ Guest House for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, check out of the camp to leave Pangong/ Tangtse and retrace the Leh route across Chang-la. Upon reaching Karu, drive across the Indus and, en route, visit the famous Hemis Monastery, the biggest monastery in Ladakh. The monastery reflects the culture and tradition of Ladakh. Later, continue driving to Leh, and in between, halt to visit the picturesque Thiksey monastery. Here, you can interact with the monks to get insights into their lifestyle. Further, carry on with your journey to Leh, and upon reaching the pre-listed hotel, complete the check-in formalities. Late in the evening, have dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

On day 7 of the Chandigarh to Leh itinerary, have your breakfast, pack your belongings, and complete the check-out formalities. Then, you will leave for Nubra Valley, driving across Khardung La (alt: 18,380 ft). After descending from the pass, drive on for sightseeing in the Sumoor area and Samstaling Gompa. After that, check into a fixed camp in the exact location or drive to Deskit/ Hundar for dinner and an overnight stay in a fixed camp or hotel.

This morning, have your meal, pack your bags, and complete the check-out formalities from your accommodation. Then, hit the roads to proceed towards Leh. En route, visit Deskit, Hundar, and the Sand Dunes, where you can enjoy a short camel safari using the double-humped Bactrian camel found here (optional on direct payment). Later, continue with your drive to Leh. On reaching Leh in the late afternoon/evening, complete the check-in formalities in the pre-booked hotel and unwind. Wake up, have a leisurely breakfast, complete the check-out formalities, and drive down the Indus Valley on the first leg of your journey to Kargil & Srinagar. Then, you will see the 11th-century Alchi Choskor, the oldest surviving monastic complex famous for its wall frescoes and architecture and a UNESCO-listed heritage site. Day 10 of the Leh Ladakh itinerary is scheduled to reach Kargil. Wake up, have breakfast, check out of your staycation, and depart for Kargil. En route, you’ll visit the dramatically located Lamayuru monastery and the adjoining "Moonland" hills. Further, on your way to Kargil, you can view the tall rock sculpture of the Maitreya Buddha at Mulbek (7th –8th century AD). Once arriving at the Kargil, complete the check-in procedure in the hotel and relax. You can explore the adjacent areas independently. Begin your day early, have your morning meal, and complete the check-out formalities. Then, you will leave for Srinagar. Drive through Drass (famous as the second coldest inhabited place in the world) and cross the Zoji-la Pass (11,500 ft.) to reach the hill station of Sonamarg. From there, it's smooth driving through the beautiful Kashmir countryside to Srinagar. When you reach Srinagar, check in at the hotel and unwind. If time and energy permits, you can trace the nearby environs independently. Later, have dinner and stay overnight in the hotel.
