Day 1 Leh
Take an early morning flight to reach Leh, the capital of Ladakh, situated at a height of 11800 ft above sea level. As you land at the Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, a transfer to your hotel is promptly arranged. Check into your room and spend the day resting and adapting to the low air pressure, which is a must to settle yourself into the high altitudes of Ladakh. Late afternoon, visit Shanti stupa, a true Buddhist architectural gem. Use the evening to scout local markets. Overnight stay is at the hotel.
Day 2 Leh - Spituk - Pather Sahib - Leh (49.7 km/ 1 hour 9 minutes)
After a leisurely breakfast, we'll drive to Spituk. Today, we'll cover Spituk Monastery, the famous Magnetic Hills, the confluence of Indus and Zanskar Rivers near Nimoo, and visit Pather Sahib, an important Sikh Pilgrimage Site. In the evening, you will return to the Leh. If time permits, you can explore the city's local market and buy souvenirs for your loved ones. Return to the hotel in the evening and enjoy the dinner. Day 3Leh - Pangong Lake - Leh (447 km/ 10 hours 10 minutes)
Day 3 of the Leh trip itinerary starts with a full-day excursion to Pangong Lake. After your breakfast, head out to proceed toward the Pangong Lake. The Lake is nearly 140 km long and 3-5 km wide; more than half of it lies in Tibetan territory. Upon reaching there, spend some time at the lake and embrace the serenity. Since you return by the evening, you can roam about Leh's local markets looking for a deal or two. An overnight stay is at the hotel.
Start your day with a healthy breakfast, and then get ready for an excursion to Khardung La Pass. The pass is located at an altitude of 18360 ft, which, not surprisingly, is the world's highest motorable pass. Once you reach there, you will be mesmerized by the panoramic views of the city. Day 5Sightseeing Around Leh City
Today is the day for a deep dive into the culture of Leh. After breakfast, head for a sightseeing tour, including a visit to Thiskey Gompa, one of the most breathtaking monasteries in Ladakh. You will also visit Shey Palace, which is nearby. Afterward, go to Hemis, which hosts one of the most well-known festivals in Ladakh. Experience the vibrant atmosphere and cultural performances. After visiting the monasteries, continue driving to the Stok Palace Museum, which showcases royal artifacts and paraphernalia. Get a glimpse into the rich history of Ladakh. Further, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 6 Transfer to Leh Airport
This is the last day of your Leh Ladakh trip itinerary. After breakfast, pack your belongings and complete the check-out formalities. Then, you will get an assisted transfer to Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport on time to board the flight for your onward destination.
