Itinerary Detail

Day 0  Manali - An overnight journey by Volvo

You will have to take a Volvo from Delhi to Manali, which will be an overnight journey. You will reach Manali the next day, where you will meet our representative, who will assist you further in the Manali Leh Manali bike trip package.

Note: This service is optional, and you can reach Manali straightaway.

Time Taken - 9 hours (approximately)

Day 1 Manali- Getting briefed about the upcoming bike trip

Today, you’ll complete the check-in formalities at your hotel and get some rest. Then, you can visit the attractions of Manali on your own, including the Hadimba Temple, Solang Valley, and the Mall Road. Later in the evening, get ready for a brief sightseeing tour of the valley. Enjoy visiting these important attractions, and then head back to the hotel for dinner and comfortable sleep.

Day 2 Jispa- Embark on your bike trip

After a scrumptious meal in the morning, you must pack your bags, complete the check-out formalities, and then head to the bike point in Manali to proceed towards your first destination on this bike tour to Ladakh. You will leave Manali and cross Rohtang Pass. If the time doesn't allow this, you will have to visit through the Atal Tunnel, which also significantly reduces the overall distance.

Further, you will also be crossing the Chandra Valley to reach Jispa. Finally, upon arrival, you must complete your check-in formalities and settle at the campsite in Jispa. Have your delightful dinner and enjoy sleeping in the camp.

Day 3 Purne- Heading towards your next destination

Take your early breakfast, mount your belongings, and complete the check-out formalities. Then, you’ll proceed towards Purne, which will also be your staying point for the next night. You will ride alongside the Sumdo River, crossing Darcha and Chikkararik Village. You will cross Shingu La Pass, Lakong, Mount Gompa Rangjum, Kargayak Village, and Testa Village throughout this route. Finally, you will reach Purne in the late afternoon. Check into your hotel and enjoy the meal. Later, the day is leisurely and can be spent at your discretion. You can stroll through the nearby area or savor the local cuisines at the nearby markets. Then, retreat to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay at the campsite.

Time Taken- 6 hours (approximately)

Day 4 Padum- Going ahead on your enthralling bike trip

Wake up to a filling breakfast and freshen up quickly. You will be leaving for Padum today, the next destination on your bike tour. There will be ups and downhills throughout this stretch, so that you will have a lot of fun. The entire stretch goes along the Zanskar River. You will be crossing several places in this stretch as well. The list includes Cha Village and Raru Village Mune Bardan Monastery. Upon arrival, check into your campsite and enjoy the dinner. You will have to stay overnight here. So, just relax and rest.

Time Taken- 5 hours (approximately)

Day 5 Kargil - An exciting ride to Kargil

On day 5 of the Manali Leh Manali bike trip, have breakfast, complete the check-out formalities, and leave for Kargil. En route, you will cross the Drang-Drung Glacier and Pensi La. You will ride through the challenging roads of Padum, and there will be a brief stop at Skygam Village for lunch. This is the Rangdum Region and probably the midpoint, too, of the entire stretch you will be covering today.

After crossing Panokhar, you will reach Kargil. The entire journey of this day will be highly exciting and equally enthralling. Upon arriving at Kargil, you will check into your hotel and get your dinner. You will spend the night at Kargil. So, make yourself comfortable and relax in a comfortable bed.

Distance between Padum and Kargil- 200 km

Time Taken- 7 hours (approximately)

Day 6 Leh- Reaching the capital city of Ladakh

Wake up to an early breakfast, pack your bags, and complete the check-out formalities. Now, you will ride towards Leh, your following prime location. This will be an extended ride with good roads almost throughout the stretch. You will resume your riding from Kargil to Leh. While riding to the capital city of Ladakh, you will stop at a few major attractions, like Lamayuru, to visit the oldest monastery in Ladakh.

Other attractions on the Srinagar—Leh highway are Magnetic Hill, the Hall of Fame Museum, and Pathar Sahib Gurudwara. Upon arrival, you will enter the hotel, complete the formalities, and enter your room. Get some rest and freshen up. Your dinner will be served in your room. Tuck yourself in your comfortable bed and enjoy a sound sleep.

Time Taken- 5:30 hours (approximately)

Day 7 Nubra: Enjoy crossing the Khardung La pass

Start your day with breakfast, and then pack your bags. Further, you will complete the check-out formalities and then head to the mesmerizing Nubra Valley. You will first reach Khardung La after crossing North Pullu and South Pullu. Take some snacks here and then head for Nubra. You will stop at the Diskit Monastery to pray at the Gompa. Enjoy the ride and view of the dunes. Arrive at the hotel and enter your hotel room by completing the formalities.

Take some rest and then head out to enjoy the ride on the double-humped camels. After enjoying the entire day, you can head to the hotel to rest. Your dinner will be served in your room, after which you can tuck yourself into a comfortable bed.

Time Taken - 5 hours (approximately)

Day 8 Pangong- Astonishing beauty of this alpine lake

Have your early breakfast, freshen up, pack your bags, and complete all the check-out formalities. You will be riding to the Pangong Lake through Shyok, which will be an astonishing ride. Enjoy the beautiful view of the lake and its surroundings. Check into your camp and take some rest. Your dinner will be served in your camp. Enjoy a night under the sheet of stars.

Time Taken- 5 hours (approximately)

Day 9 Leh- Riding through the daunting Chang La Pass

Have your scrumptious breakfast and check out from the camp. You will now be heading back to Leh from Chang La Pass. On arrival, check into your hotel and take some rest. Later in the day, you can visit Shanti Stupa and Leh market. Buy some souvenirs as a memory of your trip. After an eventful day, you can get to the hotel to get a sound sleep.

Distance between Pangong Tso and Leh- 160 km

Time Taken- 7:30 hours (approximately)

Day 10 Sarchu- Enjoyable ride ahead

Wake up to a scrumptious and filling breakfast early in the morning. Get ready for an extended ride for the day. Rest assured that you will be enjoying the view throughout. Check out of the camp and mount your luggage on the bike to resume your journey.

You will cross the Gata Loops, which are 21 hairpin bends. The next place on the tour is Nakee La, another high-altitude mountain pass. From there, you will cross another pass, which is even higher than the previous one, named Lachulung La. At the end of this section, you will reach Pang. There will be a temporary tent settlement here where you can take a halt for some time. Enjoy the landscape and natural beauty. Keep riding to Leh, and you will cross Shey and Thiksey monasteries.

Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and swiftly complete all your formalities. Take some rest, and the evening is at your leisure. Have dinner at the hotel and get some sleep after the exciting and exhaustive ride.

Day 11 Manali - Last Stretch on the bike tour

Have a filling breakfast, pack your bags, mount the luggage on your bike, and leave for Manali. The earlier we leave, the better. While traversing the trail, we will visit Jispa and Baralacha La Pass. You will take a brief halt at Deepak and Suraj Tal. Enjoy the serene beauty around the place and move on.

Drive to Manali through the Atal tunnel. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and relax. Dinner will be served in your room, and you can either go for a walk on Mall Road or head to sleep directly.

Time Taken- 6:30 hours (approximately)

Day 12 Delhi- Taking a Volvo back home

This is the final day of the marvelous Manali to Leh bike trip. You will wake up to a scrumptious breakfast and freshen up. Post this, you can head for the walking tour of the hill station by yourself. Later, head to the bus station after completing your check-out formalities.
