Day 01: Arrive Srinagar airport
Reception upon arrival and transfer to Deluxe Houseboat. Afternoon shikara ride on the Dal Lake, visiting floating/vegetable gardens. Dinner and overnight stay in Deluxe Houseboat
Day 02: Local sight seeing
Morning sightseeing of the Mughal Gardens, visiting Nishat Bagh built by Asaf Khan, the brother- in-law of Emperor Jehangir in 1632 A.D. Shalimar Bagh was built by Jehangir for his wife Empress Nur Jahan. All the gardens are situated on the banks of the Dal Lake with the Zabarwan hills in the background. En route the gardens, visit a carpet weaving factory. Lunch at Houseboat. Afternoon free. Dinner and overnight stay in Deluxe Houseboat.
Day 03: Srinagar - Gulmarg
Full day trip to Gulmarg (The meadow of flowers) 2730 mts, above sea level. The distance of 56 kms, will be covered in about 2.5 hours. Gulmarg has one of the highest golf courses in the world with 18 holes. You cam also enjoy a view of Nanga Parbat if the weather permits. The view en route from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is fascinating. A short trek up to Khilanmarg, which can be covered in about 3 hrs., is optional. The Gondola Lift for mountain rides is also available. Lunch in Hotel (can also be carried from the respective Houseboat/Hotel). Dinner and overnight stay in Deluxe Houseboat.
Day 04: Srinagar - Leh
Transfer to the airport to board the flight to Leh. You will be received on arrival and transferred to your hotel. Rest and acclimatize yourself to the altitude and rarified air of Ladakh.
Day 05: Leh - Full Day Tour Alchi and Phyang
After breakfast, we leave for Alchi. Located 70 kms west of Leh, is the Uletokpo camp where we arrive rest, have lunch and then leave for a tour of Alchi monastery and the nearby village. Considered one of the most well preserved Buddhist centers of Ladakh, the Alchi monastery has beautiful paintings on its walls, which are examples of early Buddhist art. In Alchi village you can see the rural lifestyle of the villagers including activities such as grinding wheat etc. Stay overnight at the camp.
Day 06: Leh Visit The Local Baazar
After an early breakfast, you can walk around and visit the markets in Leh, where you can buy Ladakhi craft items from the friendly local people.
Day 07: Departure
After early breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport in Leh for your flight to Delhi. Leave for Delhi with unforgettable memories of your Delhi Leh Air Pacaakge Tour with Leh Ladakh India.
